What are Window Boxes?

If you have a food product for retail, giving visibility to what’s inside is important. With a window-patched box, this is achievable whilst still protecting the food inside.

Windows are available in either standard PLA acetate or our bio-based CDA film which is suitable for home composting. Either material is also suitable for recycling at home, certified food safe and certified for use in refrigerated or frozen environments. Printed in our BRC-accredited factory, our food boxes with windows are ideal for cakes and desserts as well as a range of other applications.

The window is patched onto printed cartonboard boxes to give visibility to the product inside whilst protecting the food.

Custom-made to fit your specific products, our food packaging boxes with windows can also include a wide range of features such as carry handles, crash-lock or tuck-end bases and skillet closures.

For easy storage and quick assembly, our boxes can be pre-glued or supplied flat for machine assembly.

Through the use of vegetable-based, low-odour food-grade inks and the use of bio-degradable laminations we can ensure the majority of our packaging is not only recyclable and bio-degradable but compostable too.

Do you have a minimum quantity for window box printing?

Our low minimum order quantity (MOQ) for window box printing makes us the perfect partner for startups, artisan producers and SMEs in the drinks industry. Our minimum order is 1,000 units (or 250 per SKU for multiple orders). Our operational flow is perfectly suited to lower runs from 1,000 up to 250,000 with great flexibility on litho printing.

All orders are printed litho unless specifically requested for digital printing. Talk to our team to find out the best and most cost-effective printing options.

Can you help me with luxury packaging?

Yes! We are experienced in luxury packaging, and can produce in a range of beautiful substrates. Printing embellishments including foiling, spot UV varnish, embossing and laminations are the best way to lift your luxury packaging.
