Flexible brochure with room for add-ons
Sometimes you need your brochures to be a bit more customised than normal, maybe to allow for future additions to your product range or to adapt the content to suit a particular audience.
We have the perfect answer for you in the shape of this brilliant but simple brochure idea. Our pocket brochure includes a special die-cut pocket inside the back cover to hold extra inserts or to allow for future page additions.
What are pocket brochures useful for?
These pocket brochures are ideal for property developments where you can incorporate details of the entire project within the main brochure and then more house-specific particulars (specifications, floorplans etc) as separate inserts to be included in the pocket.
A brochure with a pocket is also brilliant for products with add-ons or upsell items that might not be applicable to everyone.
By using a pocket brochure, you’re giving yourself control over what content is distributed and can tailor the brochure to suit your individual customer’s requirements.
How can I make my pocket brochure a bit special?
We strongly recommend a few special printing techniques to give your brochure more of an edge:
- Laminate the outside for extra protection and quality feel.
- Use Spot UV on the outside and also for images throughout the brochure, especially for property developments.
- Foil Block or embossing adds a real touch of luxury.
- Use a heavier paper such as 170gsm – 200gsm for the inside pages to achieve a quality feel.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What size and format works best for pocket brochures?
Landscape format works well and we advise either printing the brochure oversize (to fit standard size A4 or A5 inserts) or printing the inserts slightly smaller so that they fit inside the pocket neatly.
How many pages can I have in a pocket brochure?
We advise sticking to a maximum of 12 pages for the brochure itself so that it’s not too bulky. You can then add a bit of capacity to the pocket to fit more of the inserts.
Can I have a capacity pocket in my brochure?
Yes, you can. These work really well and allow even more inserts to fit inside the pocket. Bear in mind that you’ll need to store these in such a way to make sure they don’t get too squashed.
Do you have a template to help me design my pocket brochure?
Yes, we have templates available to help design the cover and pocket element. We have templates for both portrait and landscape formats in a variety of sizes, so please get in touch with us by clicking here, or chat online with a print consultant by clicking the button on the bottom right of your screen.
