Snap Lock Box Printing for Food & Drinks Packaging
Snap lock boxes (aka auto lock and 1-2-3 bottom boxes) are very popular due to their low print and production costs and secure interlocking base. Give your products an extra visual boost on-shelf, whilst protecting your products in transit, with our custom printed snap lock bottom boxes.

What is a Snap Lock Box?
Snap lock boxes have a unique locking base created by 4 interlocking folding tabs that, when folded, combine to create a secure base that doesn’t require any glue or tape. These boxes only require a single glue-line along the packaging side and can be customised to include hanging tabs, die cut windows and a variety of printing embellishments.
The snap lock base is assembled by hand as the box is filled, this creates a strong and sturdy box perfect for heavier products. Supplied flat for easy storage, snap lock boxes are a very popular style of box due to their low print and production costs.
However, despite the obvious benefits to choosing a snap lock box, they do tend to be more fiddly to assemble at the packing end. Therefore, it’s advisable to consider the assembly time and ease when choosing a snap lock box.

Can I customise my printed packaging?
Yes! We print everything bespoke to fit your branding style and dimension requirements. This includes die-cutting, folding, gluing, part- and full-assembly.
Can you help me design my snap lock box packaging ready for printing?
Yes, we can. We have a design studio in-house with a team of creatives to create your brand from scratch, or design your packaging to fit your existing product portfolio. Our design team are highly skilled in both the creative and technical aspect of packaging design so that it not only looks good but is cost-effective to produce.
Do you have a minimum quantity for snap lock boxes?
We can print as low as 1,000 units, up to hundreds of thousands. We can also print as few as 250 per SKU for multiple orders. All orders are printed litho unless specifically requested for digital printing. Talk to our team to find out the best and most cost-effective printing options.
Can you help me with luxury packaging?
Yes! We are experienced in luxury packaging, and can produce in a range of beautiful substrates. Printing embellishments including foiling, spot UV varnish, embossing and laminations are the best way to lift your luxury packaging.
Can you print sustainable food packaging?
Yes! We are a certified BRC and Carbon Balanced printers and we use vegetable-based, low-odour food-grade inks. We can help you ensure your packaging is fully recyclable and compostable too.
Can you produce food-safe packaging?
Yes! We are a BRC (British Retail Consortium) accredited. This is an independent food safety accreditation that proves that high food safety standards are in place so food companies are safe to supply to supermarkets and large organisations. Therefore, you can have peace of mind that your food packaging fits the right criteria for food safety.
