Out of the Box – all the right ingredients for some tasty packaging

By 9th February 2023March 17th, 2025No Comments

Meal prepping service Out of the Box approached us for help with their new meal packaging and we were delighted to serve up just what they needed.

They were after something that would look stylish and attractive to families and professionals, who were ordering boxes to help with their healthy eating goals.

Additionally, they wanted to work with a team committed to sustainability that could provide a fast, efficient, flexible service, so we were recommended to them.

Out of the Box Ready Meal Packaging Sleeves As the name suggests, Out of The Box is no ordinary meal prep company, so they wanted food delivery packaging that could take their products to the next level. Based on the concepts from Theo’s branding expert, we were able to produce a uniquely shaped packaging sleeve to fit his meal container that would help his products stand out and give them the premium appearance they deserved.

Change the preconceptions

Out of the Box was founded in lockdown 2020 by Gordon Ramsey-trained chef, Theo Lloyd-Jones.

The company’s mission is to make eating well an easy choice and change the preconceptions associated with prepared meals. Proving you never have to sacrifice taste, or health, for convenience.

Speed and flexibility

Theo, Founder and Head Chef at Out of the Box, said: “We were looking for some new packaging for our box meals and Newton Print were recommended to us by the expert that we use for our branding and design work. She presented us with a few options. We decided to go with Newton Print because of their speed and flexibility, but mainly their expertise and commitment to sustainability.

“The blank samples we received were a perfect fit, first time, for our unique use case and the turnaround was incredibly quick. They were able to cater to our tight deadline despite some delays on our end.”

The packaging process

Being a certified Carbon Balanced Printer, Theo could rest assured his packaging was being produced using sustainable practices. The certification, which is part of a scheme operated by the World Land Trust, is part of our ongoing commitment to protecting valuable, endangered habitats around the world.

By doing this, we will balance more than 24 tonnes of carbon each year, contributing to the preservation of more than 44 acres of endangered forest – equivalent to 25 football pitches.

Many companies are seeking to make their supply chains more sustainable and we helped Out of the Box do just this.
